- How difficult is the 7 Forts in 2 Days trek?
The trek is of moderate difficulty. Each fort involves a climb, but the trails are manageable for anyone with basic fitness. Prior trekking experience is helpful but not mandatory.
- Do I need to carry food?
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are usually arranged at the base villages. However, trekkers must carry an empty tiffin box for packed lunch and bring some snacks, energy bars, and water for the trail.
- Where will we stay at night?
Accommodation is in tents on a sharing basis (separate arrangements for male and female participants). Sleeping mats and blankets are generally provided, but carrying your own light blanket is advisable.

Day 0 – Journey to Junnar

Day 1 – Sindola, Nimgiri, Hanumantgad & Hadsar
The day starts with fresh mountain air, a hearty breakfast, and an introduction to fellow trekkers. The first climb leads to Sindola Fort, a lesser-known yet captivating fort offering sweeping views of the valleys. After exploring its ruins, the descent brings the group back to the base village.
From here, the trail winds toward Nimgiri Fort, a twin beauty standing alongside Hanumantgad Fort. These two forts narrate stories of courage while offering a moderately challenging trek with rewarding views. At the base of Nimgiri, trekkers can also spot more than forty ancient hero stones, adding a layer of history to the journey.
As the day progresses, the trail leads towards Hadsar Fort, approached through the historic Rajmarg route. The fort stands tall with commanding views of the surrounding Sahyadri ranges.
