Kalu waterfall comes in Malshej Region. Kalu waterfall originates from Harishchandragad mountains and flows through Khireshwar village. Kalu waterfall falls from Deccan plateau to Konkan region. There is another falls near this waterfall known as Mahuli Waterfall (as per local people). Kalu waterfall and Mahuli waterfall meet and form Kalu River.

The best time to embark on the Kalu Waterfall trek is from July to October. This trek offers an easy difficulty level and is conveniently located a short distance from Mumbai, nestled in the picturesque Malshej Ghat near Aadrai and Naneghat. Along this enchanting journey, you'll traverse through lush green forests, crossing numerous water streams and cascading waterfalls. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Malshej at its peak. Once an ancient trading route, Malshej Ghat has transformed into a heavenly destination. The trek boasts multiple waterfalls throughout its entirety, with the journey to the base village itself being a scenic delight. Harishchandragad is a hill fort located in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, India. It is a part of the Western Ghats and is known for its historical and natural significance.

  • Head towards Kalu Waterfall. 
  • Have Breakfast. 
  • Start the trek towards Kalu Waterfall. 
  • Explore the beautiful Cascading Waterfall. 
  • Hike back to base village. 
  • Have Lunch. 
  • Start the journey towards Harishchandragad. 
  • Reach Base Village Pachnai
  • Have Dinner. 
  • Rest for the Day. 
Day 2 
  • Early Morning Wakeup call. 
  • Start the trek at around 5 am. 
  • Have Breakfast midway. 
  • Explore Harishchandragad, Kedareshwar Cave, Harishchandreshwar Temple and Kokankada. 
  • Start the return trek back to base village. 
  • Have Lunch
  • Start the return journey towards Kasara Station with lots of memories. 
  • Drop at Kasara Station.
